Choosing non toxic cookware is one of the most powerful shifts you can make for your health and I’ve linked my favorite safe options below.
We live in a world our bodies were never designed for.
Fifty years ago, many of the synthetic chemicals that now surround us simply did not exist. Today, we are exposed to thousands of man-made compounds through our food, air, water, cleaning products, cosmetics, lawn treatments, food storage containers, and even our cookware.
This matters.
Because every molecule you take into your body must be processed.
And processing requires nutrients.
Detoxification Requires Nutrients
Your body is not passive. It is constantly working to protect you.
Every time a toxin enters the body, your liver must detoxify it. Every detoxification reaction requires specific nutrients like vitamins, minerals, amino acids, and antioxidants to neutralize and eliminate that compound safely.
That means:
The more toxins you’re exposed to,
the more nutrients your body must use to defend you.
And if your body doesn’t have enough of the right nutrients available?
It will compensate.

I do not personally use enamel coated pans, though if you are going to is use them, be sure it is tested and certified free of heavy metals.
Also, Be cautious with enameled cast iron — cheap or untested enamel finishes can sometimes contain lead or cadmium in the glaze unless the brand certifies it’s free of these metals.
I avoid:
- Traditional Teflon/PTFE coatings
- Cheap ceramic coatings without testing transparency
- Aluminum with unknown lining
- Galvanized or zinc-coated materials
- Cookware without material disclosure
